Prior to your initial visit you will be asked to complete a thorough health history questionnaire (if you have not completed this in advance, please arrive 20 min early). The acupuncturist will then review it with you and ask follow-up questions as part of the intake process. The initial visit lasts approximately 90 minutes allowing for plenty of time to discuss your prior health history, your current health concerns and any of your questions. We will take your vitals and perform Chinese pulse and tongue diagnosis.

If you are here for an acupuncture appointment you will then be asked to change, in private, and get into a comfortable position under sheets on the massage table where you will be covered throughout the treatment. Gowns are also available should you feel more comfortable wearing one. Acupuncture points will be chosen based on your Chinese medical diagnosis. All acupuncture treatments include adjunct therapies as needed. You will then be left alone to rest and rejuvenate for approximately 30-40 minutes after which the needles will be removed and you will be able to get dressed in private. Once the acupuncture treatment is complete we will answer any additional questions as well as discuss Chinese herbal formulas and any dietary recommendations.

After each treatment you should feel relaxed and energized.
